Bike trails and cafe hopping in Portugal (Algarve).

By  |

It’s a beautiful December day and the tourists have cleared out and gone home (except for the smart British snowbirds).

I hopped on my bike for a glorious, sunny, and fragrant ride through the pine trees on the trails through local beach preserves. This one is a few kilometers long and runs between the beach towns of Monte Gordo and Vila Real de Santo Antonio (VRSA).

I stopped at a few cafes which are set on a raised wooden boardwalk along the beach and then ended up enjoying a perfect sunset and chestnuts (yes roasted on an open fire) in VRSA.

Come along with me on my little journey and I will share with you the beauty and fun in, around and between these two towns.
